Seminar on "Trends Toward Lower-Carbon Ultra-High Performance Concrete" and "Use of Mineralized CO2 for the Production of Green Concrete Materials and Products"
The Civil Engineering Department of MIST has organized a seminar on 17 January 2024. Professor Caijun Shi (President of the Asian Concrete Federation (ACF), Chair Professor of the College of Civil Engineering, Hunan University) was the keynote speaker. He presented the current status of ACF and how MIST can open the Bangladesh Chapter of ACF and benefit from the organization. Prof Shi has published many books and journal papers in his illustrious career. He presented two topics: Ultra-High-Performance Concrete (UHPC) and Carbonated Green Concrete Materials. Head of the Civil Engineering Department Md Moin Uddin, SUP, SPP, ndc, psc, Department Head of PME and EWCE, faculty members of CE Department, research/teaching assistants, and post-graduate students were present during the seminar.
